Experience CORON

Being a traveler, it fancies me to be in places that makes me appreciate the wonders of nature. These travels gives me time to think and relax. Setting all my work related matters aside. I don't know why everytime I come back from a vacation, I always feel recharged and rejuvenated. That's why I always reward myself with - TRAVEL. It may be costly but be it known that " Travel is the only thing that makes you richer".

I was in my lowest point in my life these past few months. Been drinking a lot of medicines and feeling a bit weak. I was kind of hesitant of joining this trip to Coron. I was worried of my health and I don't wanna risk it. But then, thanks to some people who convinced me to take this break. "You need it for yourself" as what they would say. Thanks to them or else I would have been in regret If I haven't visited this tropical paradise that is CORON.

Coron is a second class municipality on the northern coast Palawan. A 55 minute plane ride from Manila will bring you to their Airport in Busuanga Island. Coron is part of the Calamian group of islands along with Culion, Calauit and Linapacan. The town proper is a 30 minute ride passing by lush greeneries, mountain cliffs and some interesting wooden bridges.

Arriving at the town proper, we then checked inn at Kokosnuss Garden Resort. The first resort in Coron. It is already 20 years in the business but they still managed to keep their property well maintained. I love their hand painted walls and etched ceilings. The view from our room is also majestic.  We freshened up and got ready for our Coron Town Tour.

First stop was the Mt. Tapyas which is a 30-minute trek from the town proper, Mt. Tapyas provides a breathtaking view of Coron Island, the residential areas, the commercial buildings, the greenery of Coron and the road to Busuanga. A staircase of about 800 plus  steps leads to the spacious view deck with a giant cross on top of Mt. Tapyas.

Going down, we found a spectacular view and decided to have a photoshoot for the spot resembles that of Batanes.

Maquinit Hot Spring is located at Bgy. Tagumpay facing the passage of Coron Bay, it can be reached by tricycle from Poblacion for 15 minutes or by boat. A dip in the hot spring is an invigorating experience after a tiresome hike.

We had dinner at Kokosnuss and rested for the next day's Island Escapades.
