Bicol, known for the majestic Mayon Volcano is more than just a travel destination for me. This province happens to be my birthplace and my second home. My mom is a pure blooded Bicolana and it's no surprise if I am used to eating spicy foods and dishes with coconut milk in it (gata').
I was more than happy when we thought of having the vacation in Bicol. It would be my chance to visit once again in 10 years my birthplace. So together with my college buddies Aubrey, Nusi, Yani, Joy, Godo, Kram and Ex. We invaded the southeastern end of Luzon and had an adventure of a lifetime.
A 50 minute plane ride via AirPhil Express from Manila brought us to Naga City - the capital of Camarines Sur. We were glad to finally arrive and as everyones excitement meter was rising. I didnt know I was in for an unpleasant surprise. My checked in luggage was misrouted to Caticlan, Boracay - how about that? Good thing I had the important stuff hand carried or else I would be wakeboarding in jeans.
Naga City is home to the world renowned CWC or the CamSur Watersports Complex, the latest high tech wake board cable park in Asia. This place has become the countries and Asia's mecca for the fast growing favorite watersport that is wakeboarding. A complimentary airport pick up came with our overnight accommodation at CWC where we stayed on one of their eco villages. In less than 10 minutes we arrived at the cable park.
After checking in at our room. We changed into our wakeboard outfits and headed to the park. Its our first time to try wake boarding so we were advised to go to the winch park ( the lake for beginners).
I had a hard time finding the right timing so I can stand on the water. I guess It took me about 4 times before I finally had this shot. The pictures below are the best positions Ive got. I didn't manage to stand up. lol
After that tiresome activity. We had dinner at their in house restaurant.
Next Day: Caramoan Islands -The Surivor's Mecca
